Dear Colleagues,
It is our pleasure to invite you to the 5th Slovenian Congress of Ophthalmology, which
will take place in the congress centre of the Grand Hotel Union from 3 to 5 June 2004.
To mark the traditionally good cooperation between the specialists from the two countries,
we will merge this years' congress with the symposium of Slovenian and Croatian
ophthamologists.
Both events will occur immediately after Slovenia will have acquired full membership in
the EU. Therefore, we will be especially honoured to host the meeting of the representatives
of the countries, which comprise the council of the European Society of
Ophthalmology led by the president, Professor Bo T. Philipson. A new management of SOE
will also be elected in Ljubljana.
The congress program will include all the fields of ophthalmology. Any form of papers,
video films, oral or poster presentations are welcome. We are expecting distinguished
foreign speakers and we also intend to organise workshops and courses. The congress
will be accompanied by a rich exhibition of ophthalmologic equipment.
We are looking forward to meeting you at the Congress!
